Background of The Company & Major Licenses
ESA-SWITCHGEARS SDN BHD was incorporated in November 1993 with its principal activity being contracting electrical & mechanical projects, manufacturing electrical switchboards, related electrical and electronics apparatus and appliances. In 1994, the Company made its debut into the Export sector. Main Switchboards, Subswitchboards, Distribution Boards, Starter Boards and Automatic Main Failure Boards (AMF) were shipped to Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, China and other developing countries.

ESA-SWITCHGEARS SDN BHD holds the following licenses from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (formerly known as Jab Bekalan Elektrik), Malaysia issued under the Akta Bekalan Elecktrik 1990: Licensed Switchboards manufacturer and Licensed Wiring Contractor Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Malaysia conducts and review this certification annually to ensure that all licensed companies are competent and maintains its quality assurance on their products.
ESA-SWITCHGEARS SDN BHD has been successfully certified annually since its incorporation in 1993. With this continuous successful certification, Esa-Switchgears Sdn Bhd has recently submitted its application to be International ASTA Organization (based in Australia) to received their certification in meeting worldwide standards from the following bodies: Institution of Electrical Engineers Regulations (IEE) British Standards (BS) Japan Standards (JS) American Standards (ANSI) Sirim (Malaysia)

In its striving years, the Company is not only providing Switchgears products on both national and globalmarkets with high steady quality, reasonable prices, smooth deliveries and satisfactory services, but also its significant concept of being a perfect supplier to all customers it has developed hence forging long term relationship.
Basic Components & Raw Materials
Switchboards manufactured by ESA-SWITCHGEARS SDN BHD is of steel constructions self-supporting with modular top, side and back panels/ covers. The doors are built up on substantial framing with all the necessary supports to provide a rigid construction and clear accessibility to all internal components within the switchboards. The board shall be capable of withstanding the electrical and thermal stresses produced under short circuit conditions of 50KA for 3 seconds and the degree of protection shall be IP3 or 4X in compliance with IEC529. The Frame Bar is specially designed to allow fastening to 3-D joint, depth bars and panel brackets. Whereas the Cross Bar is designed to allow the 3-D joint and panel bracket to be fastened onto it. This Cross Bar is mounted across the two front vertical frame bar between the front and the back cover. The Depth Bar is designed to allow the 3-D joint and angle plate to be mounted onto it. The prepunched holes facilitate extension, both vertically and horizontal. The Depth Support is designed to be mounted across the two side vertical frame bar and to strengthen the cabinet support system. The Base Depth is part if the base frame and could be mounted directly on all floor standing cabinets by means of angle plate, bolts & nuts. A complete base frame is made up of 2-base length and 2-base depth. The base length is part of the base frame and could be mounted directly on all floor standing cabinet by means of angle plate, bolts and nuts. The base depth and base length are made from 2.5 mm thick electro-galvanised steel and spray painted epoxy black in colour. Teh Busbar Support Assembly comprise of frame bar, depth bar, busbar holder bracket, vertical busbar support hanger and cross bar which is also meant for mounting the busbar supports both horizontally or vertically. Using the busbar support assembly, it is possible to adjust the distance between the busbar supports are one if the vital component holding the busbar system which are able to withstand the short time fault time level current of the busbar system which are able to withstand the short time fault level current of 50KA for 3 seconds. The Frame Bar, Cross Panel, Cross Bar, Depth Bar, Depth Support and Busbar Support Assembly are made from 2.0mm thick electro galvanised steel and spray finished with epoxy dry-power and over baked. All these can be made according to the requirements.
